Jeff Hardy Nearly Loses Title Belt, Hamada’s Future, iMPACT!

— TNAWrestling.com has announced the following matches for Thursday’s episode of iMPACT!: Robbie E vs. Jay Lethal in an X Division Championship Match, Rob Van Dam vs. Rob Terry, and The Beautiful People vs. Mickie James and a partner to be a selected by Eric Bischoff in a TNA Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Match. — Hamada, who was released last week by TNA Wrestling, returned to Japan in October when the organization stopped using her. It is said that her former tag team partner, Taylor Wilde, has also parted ways with the organization. I will have an update on this shortly but part of the reason Hamada was released was due to the fact that it costs them $1000’s to fly her in from Japan for TV tapings. More soon.

— Jeff Hardy nearly lost his custom made Immortal Championship. The belt cost $18,000 to make. The TNA World Heavyweight Champion noted last night on Twitter that he had just received it back from Southwest Airlines. “JustGotThaWorldTitleBackFromSouthwestAirlines…,” he wrote.

— TNA is finished with live events for 2010. They return on January 6th in Wallingford, CT and on January 7th in Westbury, Long Island. Announced for the show are: Jeff Hardy, Mr. Anderson, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Matt Morgan, Mickie James, Beer Money, Inc., D’Angelo Dinero, TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne and Ink, Inc.
