— The results of the second poll of the fourth season of NXT were revealed on this week’s episode and it was announced that Alberto Del Rio’s Rookie, Conor O’Brian, has been eliminated from the competition. A disappointed O’Brian spoke on the microphone and declared his experience on NXT as real and fun. Suddenly, Ricardo Rodriguez walked on-stage and declared O’Brian a loser. O’Brian told Ricardo to kiss his rat tail. Ricardo continued chastising O’Brian in Spanish before being chased to the backstage area by the eliminated NXT Rookie. O’Brian re-emerged and said “You all absolutely suck” to no one in particular. He then announced that the rat has left the building. This leaves Derrick Bateman, Brodus Clay, Johnny Curtis and Byron Saxton as the rookies still standing.
— Former WWE announcer Jim Ross made a live appearance during this week’s WWE SmackDown! taping in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ross briefly spoke to his home state crowd before being interrupted by fellow Oklahoma native Jack Swagger. The “The All-American American” directed derogatory remarks towards Oklahoma and J.R. before facing Kofi Kingston in an amateur wrestling match. It is unclear whether the segment will air during the SmackDown! broadcast.
