– Lucha Libre USA kicks off their 2011 tonight with a show in Highlands, CA at the San Miguel Indian Bingo & Casino.
– Tigresa Caliente (formerly Rhaka Khan in TNA) did an interview with the San Bernadino County Sun to promote tonight’s event. You can check that out here.
– The company will hold tapings on January 22nd and February 5th in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. These are MTV2 tapings, but there is no word on when the promotion will return to the network. The company currently has a local TV clearance in that market on Univision KLUZ-TV channel 41.
– Lizzy Valentine has signed a deal with the company. She has recently worked with WSX and Wrestlicious.
– On February 20th, the company will hold an event at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.
– Lucha Libre USA action figures have started popping up at Wal-Marts. Figures in the set are Charly Malice, Marco Corleone, Lizmark Jr., Super Nova, Sydistiko and Tinieblas. They also sell a six-sided ring and combo sets, featuring Nova and Tinieblas Jr. masks and figures.
– When Dragon Gate USA runs on January 30th in Union City, NJ at the ACE Arena, that event will be a PPV taping. The show will host the finals of their Tag Team championship tournament and Homicide vs. Jon Moxley in a No Rules main event.
