— U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, the man who beat out Linda McMahon in the Connecticut election last November, recently stated that he is now supporting “legislation in Washington that would curb the practice of worker misclassification in hopes of creating a level playing field for workers and businesses.” The worker misclassification issue came up during Blumenthal’s campaign last November. He revealed that WWE was being investigated by the state of Connecticut for possible violations. Linda McMahon had questioned whether the move was “politically motivated.”
— 2011 WWE Hall of Famer Joe “Animal” Laurinaitis recently noted that he had been asked to help coach on the next season of NXT. He said the show would feature five retired WWE Hall of Famers coaching five new talents. We’ll see if that pans out.
