— During last night’s extra innings game, featuring the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Boston Red Sox, the Angels’ announcers pulled out lucha masks to help rally the team. The game went into the 13th inning, and the Angles scored two runs to win the game, which ended at 3AM ET, due to a rain delay. The masks are part of a promotion for the Angels on May 10th when the Angels play the Chicago White Sox.

— The Heyman Hustle website reports that Kia Stevens (a/k/a Awesome Kong) was almost not named Kharma because it was registered by Jennifer Thomas, a fitness model who was using the name at California based independent wrestling shows. WWE purchased the name from Thomas.

Thomas was under a developmental contract to WWE from 2005 to 2007. She is scheduled for a tryout soon.
