Mixed martial arts fighter Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos says she would consider joining WWE if the opportunity presented itself.
“I like the WWE. If they had an opportunity for me, I’d do it,” she told Sherdog.com in an interview.
Santos, however, says she is currently re-negotiating a contract with Strikeforce to continue fighting. She says her main focus was always on MMA, and that WWE was a backup plan.
Rumors of Santos negotiating with WWE emerged in March when she was at an impasse with Strikeforce. WWE, however, denied having discussions with Santos.
“I was interested in doing [more than one event] with the WWE, but now I’m fighting again, so I’m going to do that,” said Santos.
