— Jenny McCarthy, Hot Tub Time Machine star Clark Duke, ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons and several Dancing with the Stars regulars were at SummerSlam. Independent talents Johnny Goodtime and Joey Ryan were in the front row. Cee Lo Green was there and performed live. Tool lead singer Adam Jones also performed. NBA star Ron Artest and Jimmy Hart appeared in backstage skits. It appears Jimmy Hart will now appear full-time alongside R-Truth.

— WWE United States Champion Dolph Ziggler defeated Alex Riley prior to the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
