NBC has committed to making a pilot for a professional wrestling show set in the 1980s. Bruckheimer TV will produce the series with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson executive producing. The series is set during the impending collapse of the territory system and the pilot is being written by Brent Fletcher (Friday Night Lights, Angel) and Seamus Kevin Fahey (Spartacus, Battlestar Galactica).
