Executive Vice-President of WWE Studios Mike Pavone has left the company. There is no word on why he left.
During a teleconference with WWE stockholders last week, Vince McMahon addressed this division of the company. One note was on the Randy Orton vehicle That’s What I Am, an award-winning movie that lost them $3.3 million. McMahon mentioned that the plan is to mold the movie division to fit the WWE audience. He also added that “That’s What I Am” was a great movie, but it didn’t appeal to our audience.” They will also be lowering production budgets.
The WWE Studios film efforts normally have a three-day limited release before going to DVD and Netflix. They currently have four titles in development, featuring Triple H, Edge, Brodus Clay and others in different roles.
