Sunday at Final Resolution, Jeff Jarrett was defeated by Jeff Hardy in a Steel Cage Match. As per stipulation of the match, either Jeff or Karen Jarrett would be fired at Sting’s discretion on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling. Sting, however, decided to fire both Jarretts.
Many assumed that only Jeff would be fired via storyline since he’s overseeing TNA’s satellite promotion based in India which is conducting television tapings this week and next month. Karen was written off television as well since she is scheduled to undergo surgery on her foot, which will keep her sidelined indefinitely.
