— Deadline has updated their story from earlier, now changing the wording as not to reflect John Cena starring in the film. The company was reportedly looking for a script to put a top-tier name into as a way to “reboot” the franchise.
— BroadWayWorld.com reports Spike TV will be debuting the new show, American Digger on March 20th at 10PM ET. In promoting the show, they mention former pro wrestler Ric Savage will appear and that he will be “in search of historical treasure buried in the backyards of unsuspecting citizens.” Spike TV noted that Savage wrestled in WCW, ECW, and the NWA during his career. The show will run 13 half hour episodes.
— BJ Whitmer returns to ROH on Friday as the company makes their debut in Cincinnati. Whitmer faces TV Champion Jay Lethal in a “proving ground” match, where Whitmer will earn a future TV Title shot with a victory or draw against Lethal.
