— Nigel McGuinness is attempting to release a DVD documentary explaining his pro wrestling journey and why he quit wrestling related to his health issues. I am looking to get the funding, not only to make the documentary, but also to learn the skills to be able to explore other avenues beyond the ring in the future. than this though, I think it’s a story everyone will enjoy and learn from. I know I did.”

— GoVolsXtra.com has posted an article on the death of former pro wrestler Doug Furnas. Furnas transferred to Tennessee from a junior college in Oklahoma to play football before becoming a pro wrestler. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday at 2:00PM in Furnas’s hometown of Commerce, Okla. The family is asking that donations be made to the Chris Nowinski-backed Sports Legacy Institute for research on the concussion/brain-related CTE disease.
