Triple H just made his in-ring WWE return at a live event at Madison Square Garden. Triple H, WWE champion CM Punk and Randy Orton defeated Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler and WWE IC champion Cody Rhodes. Triple H came out last for the babyfaces and got a huge pop.
Before the match, Chris Jericho did mic work saying the fans could chant for Punk but Jericho is the best at what he does. Near the end of the match, CM Punk tagged in Triple H who cleaned house on Ziggler and nailed the spinebuster. He then hit Cody Rhodes with one as well. HHH went for the pedigree and hit Ziggler with it but Chris Jericho broke up the three count. Punk then attacked Jericho and they brawled to the back. Rhodes and Ziggler worked over HHH until Orton hit an RKO on Ziggler followed by CM Punk returning and hitting the GTS on Rhodes. Triple H then hit a tombstone on Ziggler to send a message to Undertaker scoring the pin. The babyfaces celebrated to end the segment. Punk was left in the ring and kissed the belt and kneeled down in the ring thanking the fans.
