The Rock spoke with Brian Fritz at BetweenTheRopes.com today at WrestleMania Axxess. When told that John Cena said the build to WrestleMania has been stressful, Rock said he knows what Cena is talking about and said they’ve tried to find the balance between keeping the match present in fan’s minds without making them sick of hearing about it.
Rock also said he’s “”better prepared” for the match than any match he’s ever had and said he knows Cena has wanted it for years, to the point of asking Rock’s mom when he’s going to be able to face his son. Rock also left the door open to potentially face the Undertaker next year. He joked “Undertaker don’t want none of this,” before saying that he he saw Undertaker on Thursday night and that he “looks fantastic.” When asked again about facing Taker, he said, “I wouldn’t rule anything out.”
He also talked about talent in WWE who have been discontent about Rock returning and main eventing WrestleMania, saying that he hopes they realize it’s good for business and thus good for the roster. He said, “The ones who understand it, get it.”
