According to MLB.com, Thames told a class of sixth-graders while he was visiting their school to stress the importance of healthy living, “In sixth, seventh, eighth grade, wrestling was huge – with The Rock and Stone Cold (Steve Austin), and it always seemed fun to me. You get to work out all day. It always seemed like a fun thing to do.”
