— Theresa Sareo: Alive Again, a documentary about the recovery of singer/songwriter Theresa Sareo, who lost her leg after being hit by an impaired driver, won the Audience Choice for Best Documentary at the 2012 Gasparilla Film Festival. The film featured Lanny Poffo and was produced by Evan Ginzberg, who has been writing about wrestling for decades and was an Associate Producer on “The Wrestler.”

— Cyndi Lauper will be releasing an autobiography in the fall. Lauper was a big part of the WWF’s national expansion as well as the first WrestleMania.

— Brian Washington sent this one in: There was an interesting story in the Los Angeles Times about American wrestler RJ Brewer, who works for Lucha Libre USA. The article dealt with the character he portrays in the promotion, who is an anti-illegal immigration heel. He talks about how he gets a lot of heat for the character and how he gets cursed out in Spanish. — It was announced this morning that All Japan and New Japan Pro Wrestling will co-promote a big show on July 1st. The show, which will commemorate the 40-year anniversaries of both promotions, has been titled “We Are Pro Wrestling Love!” No matches have been announced at this time.
