Nikki Bella’s title win has actually been scheduled to happen for several weeks. The injury spot with Phoenix was set to be an angle to get the title off of Phoenix, so that Kharma can win the title without beating Phoenix. Basically, they’ll job out Nikki Bella to Kharma with both Bella Twins sheduled to leave the company shortly.
UPDATE: According to sources, while the title change from Beth Phoenix to Nikki Bella was planned, all indications now are that Beth Phoenix suffered a legitimate injury. WWE.com has an article up on her injury and Phoenix tweeted about needing to be helped to get through the airport this morning.
