According to deadline.com, Steve Austin has signed on to host the new 10-episode reality competition series Redneck Island for CMT. On the show, 12 blue-collared contestants will head into a tropical paradise where they will compete for $100,000. Austin will, “oversee a cast of characters who attempt to survive hilarious and unpredictable challenges in unique redneck fashion.”
The show will debut next month and it has also been announced that Austin has signed a development deal with CMT. This will see Austin develop other series’ with the network via his Broken Skull Ranch Productions.
