— Chris Shays filed paperwork today to officially enter the Connecticut Senate voting process against Linda McMahon. Linda called for Shays to resign after she got the endorsement of the GOP on Friday, but he filed the paperwork to set up a primary vote against McMahon in August.
— Friday night’s episode of SmackDown pulled in a 1.8 cable rating with 2.80 million viewers. Those numbers were up 10% and 11% from the previous week and was the highest viewers since mid-March during WrestleMania hype season. The show ranked #2 among cable shows in overall viewers for the night as well as in all key male demographics. The NBA playoffs were #1. The show was up in the week-to-week demos, growing 0.2 against rating in m18-34, m18-48, and m12-34 compared to last week.
— JCW has announced that they are back in action on May 26th with “Hatchet Attacks,” which will be shown on iPPV and include sets from ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, A.B.K., Cold 187, and Boondox. The show takes place in Farmington, New Mexico and airs live on Psychopathiclive.com. It begins at 6 PM EST.
