— It was announced at the SmackDown tapings last night that Teddy Long will be the GM for next week’s episodes of WWE RAW and SmackDown. Long announced the following match for next week’s live SmackDown: WWE Divas Champion Layla and The Great Khali vs. Aksana and Antonio Cesaro
— The city of Orlando and Orange County reached an agreement on a $175 million renovation plan for the Citrus Bowl, which hosted WrestleMania 24. WWE has stated that they loved Orlando as a host city and expressed interest in bringing the event back. But they also made it clear that they would only do so if the now 76 year-old stadium was renovated. WWE senior vice president of special events John Saboor worked as a member of the Central Florida Sports Commission and helped lure WrestleMania to Orlando in the first place. The renovation project will begin in 2014.
