WWE is said to be planning to go all-out on the 1,000th episode of RAW to make sure the show is a success. Due to the show’s ratings being in a slump and below what both USA and WWE want, the promotion is doing everything they can to turn it into a ratings success. As previously reported, the company has reached out to almost two dozen alumni to appear and have a D-X reunion set for the show; an appearance by the Undertaker is rumored as well, along with the debut of some FCW prospects.
The company is said to be very focused on drawing viewers to the first hour of the show, rather than have it be typical with the three-hour specials in being a much smaller viewership. This is why they’re having Vince McMahon appear first on next week’s three-hour episode, so as to condition fans to tune in at the start of the first hour.
