— An article on Stars & Stripes reports that active U.S. Marine Sgt. Gaylon Summers has signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling to begin training in their dojo before joining the promotion full-time. Summers is stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. He moved through the US independent scene before competing in various Japanese promotions after being stationed there in 2009. He is 6’7″ and 260 pounds. New Japan has told him they will work on his wrestling ability. He said: “All they cared about was my height and weight. They said, forget everything. We’ll teach you our way.”
