After last night’s episode of WWE RAW, CM Punk grabbed a microphone and said “Respect” before walking off and leaving Jerry Lawler in the ring.
He was interviewed by WWE.com after the show and said Lawler not only got what he deserved, but he would do the same to anyone else who turned their backs on him.
Lawler tweeted the following: “Thanks to all my friends for your concern tonight…I’m OK. If you’re really the BEST in the world you shouldn’t have to kick someone in the BACK of his head…just saying!!”
As we reported late last night here on the website, the angle is building to a match between Punk and Lawler, likely next week on RAW from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
