Backstage Update: Wade Barrett’s Return To WWE

As many of you have seen by now, WWE debuted a new video package on Monday Night RAW, hyping the return of Wade Barrett. Barrett has been out of action rehabbing an arm injury and also filming a role in the WWE Studios film Dead Man Down.

Barrett was originally going to be brought back for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, with the plan for him to win and possibly cash in at SummerSlam. Plans changed and Barrett’s return was held off. He worked a dark match at the SmackDown tapings this week and is also working the current SmackDown tour of Asia.

At this time, Barrett is reportedly in line for a big push and will have a run at the top, winning one of the main titles later this year.
