As previously noted, Dave Batista’s MMA debut will take place on October 6th. The fight, which is against Rashid Evans (not the UFC’s Rashad Evans!), will be part of a “Real Pain” event and will take place in Providence, Rhode Island. MMAScoops.com reports that tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday at 1 PM through Ticketmaster and run from $20 – 50. The show will be broadcast via DirecTV PPV.
Batista commented on the fight, saying, “Fighting MMA is a dream come true. I’m very excited to make my debut in Providence with Jimmy Burchfield, who has so much experience putting on fights. CES treats me like family and I can’t wait to make my debut with them. MMA has been my lifelong dream and I’m glad to be able to do it with them on the East Coast.”
