JBL got mixed reviews backstage for his commentary work at the Night of Champions PPV. The overall feeling was that he did a good job, but was rusty and made some mistakes early in the show.

JBL was backstage going over notes before the show and was making the extra effort to be as up to speed as possible with the current talent and angles in the company.
