Backstage Update On Edge’s WWE Contract Status

After returning on last week’s WWE SmackDown telecast, many have been wondering about Edge’s contract status with WWE. We can report that Edge has not signed a new contract with WWE but remains on good terms with the company.

We reported several months ago that Edge turned down a WWE contract offer earlier this year and he remains a free agent. He is currently pursuing an acting career and doesn’t want to be tied down with WWE. Both sides will continue to work together when it makes sense for him to return.
