A New RAW General Manager (Sort Of), John Cena Honored

— It was announced on this week’s RAW that AJ Lee resigned as the General Manager of Monday night RAW due to “fratting” with another WWE Superstar. That person later turned out to be John Cena. When Paul Heyman asked to become the new RAW GM and Vince McMahon said “no”, he then revealed Vickie Guerrero as the “managing supervisor of RAW”.

— WWE has announced via press release that John Cena was honored by Make-A-Wish with the first-ever 300th Wish Award. Cena was honored at the charity’s “Evening of Excellence Awards Ceremony” as being the only celebrity to have ever reached the record-breaking milestone of fulfilling 300 wishes.

Cena was presented the award by Judith Harrison, whose son Justin was the recipient of the second wish Cena ever granted. Make-A-Wish president and CEO David A. Williams said, “WWE Superstar John Cena is a champion in the ring and a champion for Make-A-Wish and wish kids across the world. Even in the face of a hectic travel schedule, the physical demands of his job and countless requests for his time, John’s commitment to creating life-changing wish experiences for each and every wish kid requesting to meet him has never wavered. He is an amazing wish granter and a great friend of Make-A-Wish.”

Cena commented on the honor, saying, “I can think of no greater honor than someone who can have any wish they want in the world, yet they choose to spend their time with me. I will continue to grant wishes as long as there are children who request me. I am proud to be a part of WWE’s long standing alliance with Make-A-Wish.”
