Here’s hoping that Andrew Silva is available because Batista won’t be fighting Rashid Evans. Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports announced in a press release that Evans has pulled out of his scheduled fight this weekend at “Real Pain” due to injury. Burchfield revealed in the press release that matchmaker Patrick Sullivan has found a new opponent for Batista, who will be announced tomorrow morning.
“This is going to be a dynamite event,” said Burchfield. “Dave Bautista’s loyal fans have waited years to see him cross over into mixed martial arts and they will get their money’s worth on Saturday night. Dave has been working incredibly hard since this fight was announced. He’s in tremendous shape and ready to fight. He’s going to show the entire MMA world what he’s capable of inside the cage.”
The show takes place Saturday and will air on PPV via DirecTV and live stream through BautistaMMA.com.
