Matt Hardy’s ROH Final Battle Opponent Revealed + CZW

— Combat Zone Wrestling have set the main event for their 2012 Cage of Death event, which is their biggest show of the year.

DJ Hyde, who plays the heel owner of the company, will face the formerly fired (now reinstated) Matt Tremont inside the cage on December 8. The storyline has been building for a year. Over the weekend at their Night of Infamy event in Voorhees, New Jersey, Tremont appeared after buying a ticket and walking in the front door. Hyde wanted him thrown out, which led to the CZW locker room saying they would leave if he was not reinstated. Hyde then put Tremont in a match against Ron Mathis & Joe Gacy under Ultraviolent Rules. He said that if he won without the help of anyone from CZW, EVOLVE or Dragon Gate, he could have his job back.

New Jack then showed up and helped Tremont, which led to the match at COD being made.
