Ric Flair is now in California after returning from Japan over the weekend. He was in town for an All Japan Pro Wrestling show. He was originally scheduled to wrestle, but he wasn’t medically cleared after doctors found a blood clot in his leg during his pre-match physical. Flair was replaced by his son Reid (who was booked to wrestle earlier in the night) and watched the match from ringside.
Even with the risks of taking a seven hour flight with a blood clot, Flair refused to go to a Japanese hospital and took the flight back anyway.
WWE wants Flair at this week’s TV tapings, but it’s unknown if he’ll in Sacramento tonight for SmackDown. He’s still scheduled to do autograph signings in Las Vegas later this week.
