— The announced attendance for the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view was 15,103. The show was a legitimate sellout from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ.

— WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart made a cameo at Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view during a backstage segment with World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez. Hart told Del Rio that he’s like a Mexican Bret Hart and gave Ricardo Ridriguez a pair of his signature shades.

— As noted earlier, Mark Henry was backstage at the Royal Rumble. There was talk over the weekend that he’d be returning during the Royal Rumble match. Obviously that didn’t happen.

— Despite both staying at the WWE hotel in Phoenix, Shelton Benjamin and Carlito did not return in the Rumble match, despite rumors that they would. The two were in town for an indy show on Saturday night.
