Hart Legacy Wrestling has cancelled their show for this month in Calgary. The promotion had several Japanese names but were having financial issues, with none of the talent for the first show having been paid yet outside of those paid in advance. In addition, at least one hotel wasn’t paid for their rooms.
We posted the following on January 31, 2013:
Following the debut of the Hart Legacy promotion, reports of the roster not being paid for their work started to come out. At this time, numerous roster members have still not been paid. John Sheret, the General Manager of The Holiday Inn Calgary South, upon seeing our report on the issue, sent the following statement out today…
“I just read an article on line about the Hart Legacy Wrestling that occurred in the city January 18th, how sad, not only were the wrestlers taken advantage of so were the Hotels that hosted these individuals, our Hotel was left with a large balance on a bad credit card. I sure hope those responsible are held accountable and the Harts should be aware of who they allow to use their name and assume some responsibility.”
The Hart Family reportedly was not involved in the financial aspect of the production. As of now, there has been no statement by anyone in the family.
