The Miz did an interview with NOLA.com in which he talked about his recent face turn. Here are highlights:
On his childhood memories of wrestling: “I was a huge WWF fan. I had an Ultimate Warrior jacket with tassels, and I would run around the house, getting yelled at by my mom. I had all the wrestling buddies.”
On being given the figure-four leglock by Ric Flair: “Are you kidding me? When I was a kid, I was giving all my friends figure fours all the time. For him to pass it to me, it was incredible. I was so grateful.”
On his face turn: “The funny thing is that I never changed. To me, I’ve never been bad or good. I’ve always been the Miz. I’m used to people booing me and telling me I suck. Now, they’re chanting I’m awesome, but I’ll take it.”
