Thanks to Ranjit Chahal for his help with some of the following newsbits:
— After doing backyard wrestling for a bit as youth in West Virginia, Heath Slater decided to get serious about his ambitions to become a professional wrestler. He signed up with Curtis Hughes to start training. Hughes is a former WCW star, who was known as The Big Cat and Mr Hughes. He was also once the on screen bodyguard for Lex Luger and Harley Race.
— After watching Monday Night RAW, Gerald Brisco posted on Twitter about the charity work that John Cena does. That prompted a response from Konnan, who feels that the WWE star should not constantly be publicized for doing that. Brisco did not take too kindly to that and told Konnan to stop hating on Cena.
— As noted earlier today here on the website, there is quite a bit of uncertainty backstage in WWE in regards to the heat on Antonio Cesaro. No one seems to know the reasons why his push has been killed. Some are saying that it is just the creative department changing their minds on pushes while others say Vince McMahon has soured on him. We hope to have more shortly.
