Martha Hart’s long-standing lawsuit against WWE over the use of Owen Hart’s likeness in WWE products is over. Hart and WWE have announced that they have settled the lawsuit, which was filed by Martha in June of 2010 alleging that there had been non-payment of royalties to Owen’s estate and that the company had violated a contract that restricted use of Owen’s likeness.
The lawsuit has gone back and forth over the last three years, with both sides scoring legal victories. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
