— As noted earlier here on the website, Dolph Ziggler is being advertised for next week’s RAW and SmackDown tapings. It appears he will at least be back for a non-physical role next week. He was advertised locally for the June 4 SmackDown taping at the Nassau Coliseum, but not for wrestling in the dark match main event. That match is now advertised as Randy Orton & Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett & Jack Swagger.
— Several entertainment companies are currently researching ways to reinvigorate and remodel the Nassau Coliseum once the New York Islanders leave after the 2014-15 NHL season and go to Brooklyn. There is talk of building a new venue next door and tearing down the current one. There are also talks of shrinking the venue down to 13,000 from 17,500 and creating a smaller concert space. Decisions will be made after ideas are pitched. The venue held part of WrestleMania 2, the first Saturday Night’s Main Event taping and Brock Lesnar’s first WWE title win.
— Mattel will soon release the first WWE action figures of The Shield and Mattel’s first Bruno Sammartino figure.
— George Steele’s autobiography will be released on June 1.
