It was previously reported that during the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale event, UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman was reportedly upset with CM Punk. At the time people said that Coleman was upset over Punk’s seats and the fact that he was being shown on camera, while the UFC Hall of Famer wasn’t.
Coleman reached out to several media outlets in regards to the story, and noted that he was apologizing for the issues. Coleman stated that he was working on his image, and added that he had nothing but respect for Punk, who he says is his favorite WWE performer.
We reported the following on April 28, 2013:
According to sources, UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman was described as being “furious” at the UFC showing CM Punk on camera sitting in the crowd during the TUF 17 Finale on 4/13 in Las Vegas. We posted about this last week here on the website. Coleman, who was also in the crowd, reportedly felt the UFC should be showing a Hall of Famer like him on camera instead of a “fake pro wrestler.” In an update from our earlier report, this surprised many as both Punk and Coleman were spotted talking earlier in the night and posed for a photo together. Coleman had only good things to say about pro wrestling before having taken part and discussing publicly how tough it was. We’re not sure if alcohol was involved on the part of Coleman.
