As noted earlier here on the website, TNA has dropped Todd Keneley from their announce team. In an update from our earlier report, Keneley was told about the change at the Slammiversary pay-per-view, which will be his final appearance. He was brought into the promotion by executive producer Eric Bischoff, who used him on several prior projects, and debuted in October 2012.
The plan is to go back to the two-man announce team of Mike Tenay and Taz. Keneley could be used again later if a role is found for him.
He was not dropped due to unhappiness with his work, but because TNA decided to streamline the announce team. He was dropped simply because he was not under contract and had the least seniority. For those worried, there are no plans for Don West to return to the company!
