Original HHH/Axel Plans Revealed, JR Praises NXT, Austin

— The idea of doing another Triple H vs. Curtis Axel match was dropped over the past week. The original plans called for another match between Axel and “H” at SummerSlam. It should also be noted that prior to the major re-writes on Monday night, HHH/Axel was scheduled to headline RAW. Obviously, that didn’t end up happening.

— Jim Ross tweeted the following regarding last night’s WWE NXT tapings: “One of our best @WWENXT tapings ever! Great work by all. Super, team effort. Proud of a bunch of hungry athletes, men & women! @WWE”
