Tommy Dreamer Talks Rob Van Dam’s WWE Return

Tommy Dreamer recently talked with The Big Mosh radio show and gave his thoughts on Rob Van Dam returning to WWE. Here are highlights:

On what he learned in WWE that helped him with House of Hardcore: “Working in the office helped me a lot with dealing with state athletic commissions and insurance. It is more of a headache. It is a lot of stuff where wrestlers just show up, and it is there for you. When you are promoting an event you realize ‘Oh wait, I have to go get a ring, and people have to get paid to bring that stuff.’ It is just a whole different side of it.”

On the future plans for House of Hardcore: “This show looks like it is going to be a success, so then hopefully there will be a House of Hardcore 3. I’m not going to sit here and say ‘I’m going to be the next TNA or Vince McMahon.’ My game plan for this year is 2-3 shows, and next year, if it continues, hopefully strive for 4. I always say that you’ve got to crawl before you can walk, walk before you can run, and run before you can fly. And I’m still in the crawl stages.”

On RVD’s WWE return: “I think it is awesome. What a great surprise! I love the fact that they announced it and that is in Philly too. Him [sic] and I are friends, and I think it is a great move for WWE bringing back some guys who have some drawing power and still can go in the ring.”
