After defeating Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match on RAW this week, Rob Van Dam will face Alberto Del Rio for the World Title at WWE’s Night of Champions pay-per-view.
As of this writing, the only other confirmed match for Night of Champions is Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title.
So they’ve got the WWE and World Title matches confirmed already. That’s a good start!

As announced on Friday night’s 8/23 SmackDown, Randy Orton will defend the WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan at the Night of Champions PPV on 9/15 live from Detroit, Michigan. This is the only match confirmed for the show so far.
