— WWE has announced that there will be a SummerSlam press conference tomorrow at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California. It will take place at 11 AM local time and will stream live on WWE.com. It will be hosted by Michael Cole and feature appearances from Alberto Del Rio, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and C.M. Punk.

— The reason John Cena missed the WWE live event in Oakland, California last night was due to “transportation issues”. Javier Lorenzo sent this one in so we know he at least made it to the airport: Hey Ryan. it’s weird that John Cena didn’t show up in Oakland because he was in the bay area during the day. I had the chance to take a picture with him yesterday at the San Francisco airport.

As noted, The Big Show replaced him and the fans in Oakland were offered refunds due to John Cena’s absence. The Big Show is backstage at RAW right now and is expected to return tonight. As of last word, there were plans to do something with Mark Henry, The Big Show and The Shield tonight. This would lead to a Henry/Show vs. Shield handicap match at SummerSlam this Sunday night.
