In an interview with The Sun Herald, Ryback spoke about his feud with CM Punk. Here are highlights:
On his feud with CM Punk: “What better way than to take out C.M. Punk. He was the guy who started my downfall. That’s what you strive for: being the guy who everything revolves around.”
On his success in WWE: “I had a lot of setbacks and negativity early in my career. There was a lot of criticism. You have to brush it off. It all helped me become the man that I am today. Each and every day, I wake up wanting to do my best. I’m taking it one day at a time.”
On who gave him his start: “Danny Davis gave me an opportunity to come back to OVW,” Ryback said. “He’s a big reason for where I am now. I had injuries early on.”
Ryback will not be on WWE’s tour this weekend as he’ll be in India promoting the new WWE 2K14 game in Mumbai.
