— Apparently there were already plans in the works to bring back both Shawn Michaels and John Cena to WWE television prior to the Battleground pay-per-view situation. As noted in a report a few weeks ago, it leaked out during a radio interview that HBK was scheduled to return to WWE television. Additionally, Cena was in talks with the company about returning earlier than expected as well.
— Speaking of Cena’s return, many have questioned if his match at the upcoming WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view will be a one-time-only appearance. According to one source, Cena is returning full-time with the company, and his scheduled appearances in New York and on an upcoming overseas tour, both of which were reported weeks ago, will now include Cena working matches as opposed to simply appearing.
