Brooke Tessmacher recently spoke about her WWE release and more. Here are the highlights…
On being a heel: “I think it’s just more rewarding to get out there and feel the hate from the crowd that means you’re doing your job. It’s so much more fun to be over the top and annoying and mean, and to play dirty.”
On winning the Knockouts Title last year: “It was something I never saw coming. I never thought I’d be good enough to hold the title and be looked at as the champion of this company. We have the best division there is out there, and to be the number one girl and do it out of the blue and win it in my home state, it’s unreal, I can’t really put it into words. I’ll always remember that, and I remember that feeling of, Now I’m finally somebody, now I’ve made a point that I’m not just some dancing chick”
On rumors her WWE release related to gimmick infringement because she wore furry boots similar to Melina: “That is such a lie, it has nothing to do with that. I have read so much crap online. It is personal, the reason I left, it’s something I won’t go into, but it has nothing to do with being difficult to work with – I’ve read that – and nothing to do with being backstage half-naked. I have read the Melina thing and stealing her gimmick or something. It’s just so crazy, the things that people come up with. ”
