C.M. Punk defeated Curtis Axel. Punk was interviewed before the match.

The Uso Brothers and R-Truth beat 3MB.

A.J. Lee and Tamina defeated Cameron and Naomi.

Daniel Bryan defeated Luke Harper.

An in-ring segment with John Cena and Alberto Del Rio. They wanted to have a rematch on this show, which led to Vickie Guerrero announcing their title match for Survivor Series.

Alberto Del Rio defeated The Great Khali.

John Cena beat Ryback.

Dark Main Event:

John Cena defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Notes: We drove from Raleigh to Charlotte (about a three-hour trip) to see Smackdown. It was a very good show. I was only disappointed that a few guys were not there. Cena did a lot of work. He had an in-ring interview and two separate matches. There were “Yes” chants all night.
