As previously reported, WWE in currently negotiating their new TV deals. The company makes $139.5 million in TV licensing fees a year, and is looking to double that. According to Variety, WWE has had negotiations with NBC Universal already, since they are the main hub for WWE TV in the US. WWE has until February 15, 2014 to accept or reject NBCU’s final offer. After that, they will take offers from other networks until February 28th with a decision said to be made by March 4th. WWE has already spoken with or reached out to A&E, Disney, Viacom, 21st Century Fox and Discovery in case negotiations with NBCU do not work out. If WWE moves the programming, it would take place in October of 2014.

“WWE is a proven ratings juggernaut, making USA Network No. 1 for the past eight years and delivering more average viewers than every sports property, with the exception of the NFL. Given the increasing demand for live, DVR-proof content, we believe the market will value our programming significantly above where we’ve been in the past.”
