— Philly.com is reporting that the reason WWE chose Santa Clara over Philadelphia as the host of WrestleMania 31 is because Super Bowl 50 will be taking place in Levi’s Stadium in 2016 and WWE doesn’t want to follow the Super Bowl in the same venue within a calendar year.
— UPDATE: WWE SmackDown drew a 1.98 (2.0) cable rating, up 6% from last week’s 1.86.
— ORIGINAL: Friday’s episode of SmackDown drew 2.84 million viewers, up 7% from the 2.64 million for the Black Friday episode last week. It was however down from the 3.11 million the week before.
The show drew a 0.8 rating in the 18 – 49 demo, even with last week.
