UPDATE: Technology Tell reports that WWE has sent out an invitation for its event at the International CES in Las Vegas in January. WWE has revealed that they will make a major, “groundbreaking” announcement from WWE CEO Vince McMahon. It’s scheduled for the Encore Theater on January 8. As previously reported, stars from the past and present (John Cena, Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels) will be present and it’s expected to be the official launch of the WWE Network.
The network would feature content from the WWE’s incredibly large video library of footage from all over the world, along with original programming. The network may be available through something other than cable or satellite, possibly online only. This would make sense for CES more than a straight TV network would.
ORIGINAL: Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, John Cena and Triple H will all appear at the January 6, 2014 event at the Encore Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vince McMahon has already been announced for the event, which happens the same week as the 2014 International CES (an international consumer and electronics trade show), which WWE usually has a presence at.
Last year, the company focused on their App, which debuted a few months before CES 2013. It’s possible that this event will be the official announcement of the WWE Network.
